Chassis cabinet is a concentration camp for electronic equipment. It provides storage space for power supply, host, motherboard, hard disk drive, floppy disk drive and other equipment. It has the functions of anti-pressure, anti-shock, anti-radiation and electromagnetic interference.

Chassis and cabinet sheet metal processing is the process of forming sheet metal into the desired shape using a variety of different manufacturing methods, including many steps from cutting, bending to surface treatment, assembly, and more. Common processing methods are as follows.

1. Stamping

Stamping is another method of cutting holes in the cabinet, using a metal punch to punch the plate, which is suitable for mass production, but not very cost-effective for small batch production.

2. Bending

Due to the complexity of bending, this can be the most difficult step in metal fabrication for chassis cabinet sheet metal fabrication, and engineers must be very familiar with the bending properties of metal. Most press brakes have certain restrictions on bending:

Unilateral height: the size of the bending machine and the height of the upper knife, the solution can be multi-sided and large-angle bending. Bilateral height: not greater than the maximum height of one side, in addition to all restrictions on the height of one side, it is also limited by the bottom side: bending height < bottom side.

3. Mechanical cutting

Chassis cabinet shearing or die cutting refers to the process of cutting sheet metal without burning or melting it, essentially not much different from cutting clothing with scissors. When shearing, the punch presses the workpiece on the fixed die or blade, and the gap between the two prevents the workpiece from passing through, thereby completing the shearing.

4. Thermal cutting

Laser cutting is the first choice for cutting chassis cabinet sheets, it is a very fast and precise cutting method that ensures good results. For thicker case cabinet materials, plasma cutting can also be used, although the quality of laser cutting is better.

5. High pressure water cutting

Water cutting is to use high-speed water jet doped with emery to cut sheet metal, which has almost no restrictions on materials, but the processing speed is too slow, the processing is too dirty and not environmentally friendly, and the consumables are high.

The chassis cabinet process generally has the following steps:

1. Stainless steel sheet metal processing and blanking: The initial processing of stainless steel sheet metal in Shenzhen is also a necessary process during blanking. The blanking is divided into laser blanking and digital punch blanking.

2. Planing pits: Not all products need to be pitted in the pit planning process. Generally, the customers specify that the pits are required to be pitted, and only the top planing pits are used.

3. Bending: If you want to form a product, the bending step is also the same. Bending is generally done with a bending machine. The company has a high-precision CNC bending machine, which can bend arcs, 30, 40, 90 degrees and other angles.

4. Welding: There are many welding methods for welding, such as electric welding, argon arc welding, CO2 protection welding, fusion welding and more than ten kinds of welding methods. Electric welding is generally used for cold-rolled sheets, and argon arc welding is used for stainless steel. The specific process can be carried out according to customer requirements.

5. Surface treatment: grinding, polishing, wire drawing, etc. After the product is processed and formed, it needs to be surface treated and polished to polish the surface burrs, unevenness, defects, etc. After polishing, polishing, polishing and wire drawing are all to make the product more beautiful as a whole.

6. Pickling, degreasing, pickling and degreasing are mainly for pickling or degreasing products that need to be painted, and products that do not need painting are generally not subject to pickling.

7. Inspection: After the product is processed, it needs to be inspected, electronic products, etc., it takes half a month to debug before the next step.

8. Packaging: Packaging is divided into simple carton packaging, bubble bag, wooden box packaging, pearl cotton and other packaging methods, and can also be personalized according to customer processing product needs.

Chassis cabinets are suitable for network engineering, wiring engineering, communication systems, power systems and other industries. The design and processing of the cabinet not only affects the protection function, but also affects the overall performance of the equipment.
